Tickled Pink
Our homeowner takes pride in their home and loves design too! By updating their bathroom space we were able to bring joy back into a space that felt dated and tired.
THE PLAN
The existing architecture of the space included a wall of windows - solarium style, and a gracious amount of space to work with. Working within a fixed budget, we opted to work closely with the existing fixture locations to not incur the additional costs of moving rough-ins significantly.
THE PLAN
We opted to remove a portion of a structural wall to open up the shower both visually and in size. This small change offered so much brightness to the space and made the architecture feel even more spacious.
CAN YOU SEE IT?
The renderings are such a great tool to provide a realistic 3D view of what the space will look like.
THE BEFORE
The existing home has a clean, mid-century aesthetic that we wanted to connect to, and we achieved this by maintaining a colour palette consistent to the home. In addition, we detailed the vanity in a way that was similar in style to existing built-ins throughout.
DESIGN
The double-vanity is modern in aesthetic with finger pull drawers that remove the need for additional adornment. The large-scale mirror reflects the beautiful wall of windows, allowing the user to always be connected to this beautiful feature.
OUR SERVICES
Even the colour palette follows this concept. It is clean, modern and bright, yet it has a warmth to it that links it to the existing home's aesthetic. We kept the walls and floors consistent by using the same tile throughout. The tile has a warm, subtle vein that inspired the vanity colour and quartz selections
THE FINALE
Adding a freestanding tub opened up the floor plan further, and the sculptural shape became an instant feature.
Needless to say, the client is tickled pink with their space.
